Gamboa beats Solis

Yuriorkis Gamboa retains his WBA Featherweight belt after knocking out Jorge Solis in the fourth round of the match. Solis was knockdown five times during the match by Gamboa. Gamboa started slow in the first round by measuring the skills and power of Solis and Gamboa delivers a knockdown twice against Solis in the second round. At the end of the third round, Solis was again knockdown for the third time before the bell rings. At the start of the fourth round, Solis was again knockdown for the fourth time and finally after the fifth knockdown, the referee stops the fight declaring Gamboa as the winner. Gamboa has now an impressive record of 20 wins with no loss, 16 of his wins coming by way of knock out.

Morales vs Maidana Boxing Match

Another exciting bout to be watch this coming April 9, 2011 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada is the match between Five-Time and Three-Division World Champion Erik “El Terrible” Morales and former WBA Interim Super Lightweight World Champion Marcos “El Chino” Maidana. The event will be live via pay per view and will also feature the bout between Junior Middleweight World Champion Winky Wright and European Middleweight Champion Matthew “Mack The Knife” Macklin. Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero and Michael Katsidis, who are former world chmpions will also be in the fight card.  Morales and Maidana will battle for a 12-round junior welterweight bout, Wright and Macklin in a 10-round super middleweight fight and Guerrero and Katsidis for a 12-round lightweight match. The exciting fights will be live on HBO Pay-Per-View starting at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT. This is going to be a slugfest on April 9, so don't ever miss to watch this exciting bouts.

Segura vs Calderon PPV Fight

The WBO and The Ring light flyweight champ Giovani Segura is set to face Ivan Calderon for a rematch on April 2, 2011 at the Auditorio del Estado in Mexicali, Mexico. The two boxers will be the main event for the “La Revancha: Segura-Calderon 2,” which will be promoted by Zanfer Promotions and PR Best Boxing. The event will be live via pay per view for only $39.95 and will be distributed by Integrated Sports Media.

Segura has an impressive record of 26-1-1, 22 KOs while Calderon will step into the ring with a record of 34-1-1, 6 KOs. Segura knocked out Calderon during their first match, taking away the WBO, The Ring and WBA Super light flyweight belts. Segura was noted for his victories against Daniel Reyes, Carlos Tamara, Rodel Mayol, Reyes, Higo Fidel Cazares, Nelson Dieppa, Issac Bustos, Roberto Carlos Leyva, Ednar Cardenas, Alex Sanchez and Eduardo Ray Marquez.

The event will also feature the fight between Ricardo “Piola” Castillo (39-9-2, 26 KOs), who is a featherweight champion and three-time world title challenger and Joksan “El Torito” Hernandez (21-3, 14 KOs), who is the former WBC Continental Americas super featherweight champion in a ten-round match.

Gamboa vs Solis Bout

Yuriorkis Gamboa, who is the WBA Super World/IBF featherweight champion will be facing WBA interim super featherweight champion Jorge Solis on March 26, 2011. The Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey will host this spectacular event. The event is being promoted by Top Rank Promotions of Bob Arum. Gamboa has an impressive record of 19 wins with no loss, 15 of his wins coming by way of knockout while Solis has a record of 40 wins, 2 loss, 2 draws and 29 of his wins via knockout. Gamboa is expected to fight Juan Manuel Lopez rather than Solis but Bob Arum seems to be building up Gamboa before he fights Lopez. Many awaits to see the fight between Gamboa and Lopez and hopes to happen later this year.

Judah vs Mabuza Boxing Fight

Judah vs Mabuza Boxing Fight. The world will witness the fight between Zab Judah and Kaizer Mabuza this coming March 5, 2011 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The fight is scheduled for twelve rounds for the International Boxing Federation light welterweight crown. The bout will be available via pay per view basis for only $29.95 and it is being promoted by the Main Events. Judah will try to beat the South African Mabuza in order to regain his name and to be back on top with well known boxers. Judah last fought with Lucas Matthysse last November 2010 and won via twelve-round decision. On the other hand, Mabuza will be a problem for Judah because of his busy work rate and he can throw many punches with lots of inner strength. Judah is expected to run around until the duration of the fight and will depend for the hometown decision like what he did with Matthysse.
